Weather Disrupts Early S100 Practice (13 July 10)

It was a quick turn around from Walderstown and off to the Isle of Man for the Southern 100 Road Races on the Billown Circuit in Castletown. Sailing out of Dublin on Monday, the team arrived at the paddock in time for the final Superbike practice session. Davy got a few laps in on the Strangford Holiday Park Suzuki and managed a satisfying ninth quickest time at over 104mph.

For Tuesday's practice the CSC Branson R6 Yamaha radiator had to be repaired and it was off to the paddock and set-up for a busy night. Unfortunately the weather had other plans and atrocious conditions meant that the team decided that Davy should only take a run on the CSC Branson R6 to make sure the repairs were okay. Even though he was just touring round the wheels were still spinning and that was the night over.

Davy speaking later, "Its so frustrating we had a real rush to get here and get the R6 fixed. I was happy with the lap time on Monday considering the short time to get ready, so i was looking forward to a full nights practice on Tuesday. When the rain started we decided there was nothing to be gained other than to make sure the R6 was right and then we packed up. Lets hope conditions are better tomorrow."
